The dance department of the Cobb County
Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts ,
Pebblebrook High School, offers a full
curriculum of dance throughout each day. All
Performing Arts students have the opportunity
to explore their potential as dancers or to
supplement their majors and give them a better
edge in their future endeavors.

Some dancers come into the dance program with many
years of training and some dancers have had no training.
The students learn different aspects of dance: ballet, pointe,
jazz, modern, tap, hip-hop, vocabulary, history, nutrition,
conditioning, Pilates, choreography, as well as other aspects
with the many guest instructors that enjoy coming to teach.

Most dancers continue to dance after high school either by going to prestigious schools like Juilliard, New York University, North Carolina School of the Arts, etc. or with a professional dance company or Broadway. Year after year, our dancers are among the sixteen best from the state of Georgia chosen to go to the Governor’s Honors Program.
