Since arriving in Atlanta in 1989 to become a member of the Alliance Theatre Company's Professional Acting Intern Program, Carolyn Cook has established herself as one the area's most successful and popular actresses.  She has performed with a wide range of professional Atlanta theatres including Georgia Shakespeare, Horizon Theatre, The Alliance Theatre, Actor’s Express, Theatre in the Square, Seven Stages, Theater Emory, and on tour in the United Kingdom, France, and the northeastern United States.  She has also been named as Core Artist at Horizon Theatre and Associate Artist at Georgia Shakespeare.  Cited as critic’s choice for Best Atlanta Actress by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Creative Loafing, and Atlanta Magazine, Carolyn most recently appeared in the Alliance Theatre's production of August: Osage County. Ms. Cook received her undergraduate degree at Randolph-Macon College and pursued graduate studies at the University of Virginia.
