Adam Cannedy, bass-baritone, is a recent graduate of Southern Methodist
University in Dallas, Texas where he earned his Bachelor's degree in music,
focusing on voice performance and French.

He has appeared as Don Alfonso in Cosi fan tutte, Zuniga in director Peter Brook's
La tragedie de Carmen, and most recently as Baron Frederick in the world
premiere of Simon Sargon's The Singing Violin. While at SMU, he performed in numerous scenes programs, including the roles of Figaro, Don Giovanni, Masetto, and others.

Other appearances include Lyric Stage's Sweeney Todd, Garland Summer
Musicals productions of Singin' in the Rain and Kiss Me Kate, and as a featured soloist with Voices of Change. This September, Adam will appear in The Atlanta Opera's production of Puccini's Turandot. He is the recipient of the Award for Excellence in Performance (undergraduate or graduate student) and the Hayward Award for Excellence in Music Academics and Performance.

Adam studied with mezzo-soprano Virginia Dupuy.
