Rebecca Kier received her Master of Music from the University of Cincinnati
College-Conservatory of Music and her Bachelor of Music from the University of Delaware. Rebecca began her operatic career at the University of Delaware singing roles in productions that included A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Mikado, and Susannah. While pursuing her advanced degree, she performed Rebecca Nurse in The Crucible and the Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas.

Outside the academic realm, she covered Dryade in Ariadne auf Naxos for Opera North and performed Meg Page in Falstaff with the Opera Theatre and Music
Festival of Lucca, Italy. Rebecca currently resides in Atlanta, GA where she is in
her third season as a member of the esteemed Atlanta Opera Chorus. She
recently completed the Atlanta Opera Studio program and engagements as a
soloist have included performances of the Mozart Requiem, Bach Cantata
BWV 61, Monteverdi's Vespro della Beata Virgine, and the Duruflé Requiem.In the
fall of 2007, she will travel to Yakima, Washington for a performance of the Mozart Requiem with the Yakima Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to performing, Rebecca is currently the Adjunct Professor of Voice at
the Georgia Institute of Technology and maintains a full studio at the Pebblebrook Performing Arts High School in Atlanta, GA. She has studied with Dr. Melanie DeMent, William McGraw, Dr. Robert C. White, Jr., Barbara Honn, and
Dr. Marilyn Taylor.
