Frank Timmerman is the Director of Performing Arts at the Cobb County Center
for Excellence in the Performing Arts/Pebblebrook High School. He holds degrees
in vocal performance from Valdosta State University and the New England Conservatory of Music and has been awarded apprenticiships with the opera companies of Central City, Colorado; Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Atlanta. His training includes fellowships at the Tanglewood and Brevard Music Centers.

A tenor, Mr. Timmerman has performed in concerts and recitals throughout the
United States and in Europe. He is a regular soloist with the Atlanta Symphony
Orchestra and has performed with The Atlanta Singers since 1989. He can be
heard as soloist with the Robert Shaw Chamber Singers on the recordings
Songs of Angels and Angels on High (Telarc) and on the original cast recording
of the opera StarChild. A member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing,

Mr. Timmerman formerly taught on the voice faculties of Kennesaw State
University and Columbus State University. Choirs under Mr. Timmerman's
direction have been featured in performances with the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, at London's Westminster Abbey, and at inservice conferences of the Georgia Music Educators Association. His students have enjoyed unprecedented representation in Georgia All-State Chorus events and the Georgia Governor's Honors Program.
