Puttin' on the Hitz: Fall Pop Vocal Concert

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time: Fall Drama Production

Based on the novel by Mark Haddon, adapted by Simon Stephens

THE STORY: 15-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain: He is exceptional at mathematics but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched, and he distrusts strangers. Now it is 7 minutes after midnight, and Christopher stands beside his neighbor’s dead dog, Wellington, who has been speared with a garden fork. Finding himself under suspicion, Christopher is determined to solve the mystery of who murdered Wellington, and he carefully records each fact of the crime. But his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a thrilling journey that upturns his world.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Sweeney Todd, winner of eight Tony’s, (including Best Musical), is a thrilling, theatrical treat that tells the infamous tale of Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber who returns to nineteenth century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which, he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett’s luck sharply shifts when Todd’s thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up… and the carnage has only just begun!

Unspoken: Fall Dance Concert

Our dance concert, “Unspoken” will represent how dance becomes meaningful with and without words. Using movement to tell a story or a feeling is the foundational essence of dance. Marth Graham, a famous 20th century modern pioneer stated: “Dance is the hidden language of the soul of the body”. Attend our concert to discover the “Unspoken”.

Equinox: Fall Vocal Concert

The EQUINOX/SOLSTICE is the time or date at which the sun crosses the celestial equator, when day and night are of approximately equal length. The winter SOLSTICE is the time or date at which the sun reaches its maximum declination, marked by the shortest days of the year.  This concert will feature sounds of the Fall and winter holiday season.  You don’t want to miss this! This concert will give you the sounds, colors, and feelings of fall as we celebrate this special time of year with myriad of exciting and beautiful choral music.

A lnew tradition of the CCCEPA Drama Department, this now yearly performance allows members of our intermediate class to go beyond their acting training and become not only performers, but theater makers.

Bridges: Creating Connections Through the Arts - A Black History Experience

Join us as we journey through the numerous artistic contributions made by African American pioneers in the arts.  The annual PHS Black History performance includes presentations and performance from a variety of PHS students and makes for a wonderful evening of edutainment.

Love/Sick: Spring Drama Production

THE STORY: A darker cousin to Almost, Maine, John Cariani’s LOVE/SICK is a collection of nine slightly twisted and completely hilarious short plays. Set on a Friday night in an alternate suburban reality, this 80-minute romp explores the pain and the joy that comes with being in love.

Bring It On: The Musical

Bitingly relevant, sprinkled with sass, and inspired by the hit film, Bring It On The Musical takes audiences on a high-flying journey that is filled with the complexities of friendship, jealousy, betrayal and forgiveness. Uniting some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, Bring It On features an original story by Tony Award winner Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), music and lyrics by Pulitzer- and Tony Award-winning composer, Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the HeightsHamilton), music by Pulitzer- and Tony Award-winning composer, Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), lyrics by Broadway lyricist, Amanda Green (High Fidelity), and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Musical.
