About the CCCEPA Dance Program

CCCEPA’s ballet-based Dance Department offers a full curriculum for students of all levels, including additional studies in jazz and modern dance styles. The full-time and adjunct dance faculty are all professional educators and performers at the top of their field. Courses in dance history, choreography, somatics, and kinesiology are part of the students’ regular studies. An emphasis on classical technique allows students to develop the fundamental skills, strength, and flexibility needed to pursue all forms of dance. Particular importance is placed on wellness and injury prevention.

In addition to the mainstage dance concerts presented at the close of each semester, CCCEPA dancers participate annually in the National/Regional High School Dance Festivals. Graduates of the dance program consistently go on to pursue the study of dance at our nation’s leading colleges, universities, and conservatories. They are performing with professional dance companies, on Broadway, and on cruise lines throughout the world.
